Pramod joined MelJol in November 2014. He started as a volunteer in a youth organization and subsequently a field worker working with a tribal community of Maharashtra state in India in 1982.
Since then Pramod has worked in the development sector dealing with various responsibilities and positions. With strong Training and Program Management background, he has led a number of projects and programs engaging with underprivileged Communities, Youth and Children.some of which are working within Government and with National and International organizations. He has represented respective organizations on National and International platforms.
Pramod is a member of the State Coordination Committees on Protection of Child Rights appointed by Hon. High Court of Maharastra state and of State Core Group Member for development of State Child Policy. Pramod is M.A. in Social Work with specialization in Urban and Rural Community Development from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
Sangita Malshe, Deputy Executive Director – Maharashtra
Sangita joined MelJol in September 2013 as Dy. Director, Maharashtra Program. Her role involves providing strategic directions to Maharashtra program. Sangita started her career in development filed as a freelancer whereby she published several books on gender studies and occupational health. Prior to MelJol Sangita she has worked with Action Aid ensuring sustainability in livelihood programs in Maharashtra. In Action Aid Sangita also provided strategic guidance to partners and has closely worked with many government officials. In addition to this, Sangita has an extensive experience in the field of advocacy and research with Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Prayas. Sangita is M. A. in sociology.
SUBRAT NAYAK is the Deputy Director for the National programme in MelJol. He manages the programme implementation and strategic partnerships with NGOs, Corporate and Government agencies across States in India. Having devote 12 yrs. in the Development sector, Subrat has developed a judicious and impartial understanding on the socio-economic issues faced by the relegated section of the societies and to develop strategies to address those at the micro and macro level.
His endeavour in the sector has helped him sharpen his project management and training skills. Subrat is also a Global Master trainer on Social and Financial Education and has voyaged to capacitate trainees from 12 countries across the globe so far.
Subrat commenced his vocation as a visiting faculty in a social work college (CSRD-ISWR) followed by working with Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, the CSR wing of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories where he worked as an assistant manager operation and managed the livelihood projects for the aspiring youth.
Subrat Holds a Master Degree in Social work and a Diploma in Disaster Management from the University of Pune. Presently He is pursuing a degree on Theology.
Simin Shirazi is the Manager Finance & accounts; She is a post graduate having done her MBA in Finance and also a Law graduate. She has over 15 years of experience in her chosen filed having previously worked in audit firms, retail sectors and NGO.
Simin is in-charge of the overall Finance and Accounts along with management of Human Resource and Administration. Her role in the organisation is very important as she has to ensure that the organisation has all operational policies in place and is running smoothly with the highest standard of honesty, integrity and efficiency in accordance with the standards as set up by MelJol.
