Through engaging, hands-on activities, ICYCDP nurtures life skills, financial literacy, and environmental responsibility among children, while ensuring that teachers are equipped with modern, activity-based learning methods aligned with India’s New National Education Policy (NEP). Youth leaders, trained as Aflatoun Young Leaders, become change agents, driving local initiatives and community campaigns such as , WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) campaigns, tree plantations, plastic waste management drives, and vocational skill-building.
The program also works hand-in-hand with community members to enhance living conditions and promote sustainability. Initiatives include environmental stewardship, kitchen gardens, and health awareness workshops for women on menstrual hygiene, nutrition, and breastfeeding.
With a reach of over 23,900 beneficiaries, 57.4% of them women, the ICYCDP not only promotes gender balance but also lays the foundation for long-term social and economic resilience.
