Meljol follows the Ecosystem approach and encourages participation of all key stakeholders in the process of community development with a specific focus on child & youth development.
1. Aflatoun Integrated Rural Development Program (AIRDP)
Meljol extensively collaborates with local governance systems & community stakeholders so that their participation increases in the developmental activities in the villages. This program involves developing Aflatoun Resource Centers (ARCs). The ARCs become the center of change and development in the villages that Meljol works with. This program also has a component of infrastructure development in the villages.
2. Nirman initiative- An initiative for the construction site labourers
A one of its kind programs that reaches out to the construction site laborer and collaborates with them on putting smiles on their otherwise tough lives. Meljol extensively uses sports to engage the laborers. As part of the program Meljol establishes “ Fun & Learn centeres on construction sites. These centeres provide platform to the workers to come together and express themselves. The laborers also receive inputs on Banking and financial education along with digital literacy (computers)
